Amber Farnan

Amber Farnan has lived most of her life in Mills County. She attended Glenwood Community Schools until being homeschooled during her high school years. She has an associate's degree in early childhood education and a bachelor's degree in human services and psychology. After serving the City of Glenwood for seven years as their City Clerk and then Administrator, she decided she was up for a new challenge and ran for Mills County Auditor. After winning the primary and the general, she took office on November 14, 2024. While her knowledge of city government is extensive, she is finding the world of county government runs a little differently but is excited to expand her knowledge and continue serving this great community! 

Amber and her husband, Justin, have been married 11 years and live in Glenwood with two wonderful daughters and a giant black lab. They enjoy traveling, watching football, and spending time with family and friends.
